Sanpoutei Ramen – Delicious Shoyu Ramen With Aburi Chashu At Holland Village
Sanpoutei Ramen is a Japanese ramen joint located at Holland Village in Singapore. It specializes in Shoyu Ramen but serves delicious Tonkotsu Ramen as well.
We visited this ramen joint on a Saturday night at about 6.30pm and the restaurant was already almost full.
Great Ambience
Sanpoutei Ramen has great ambience. The Japanese paper lanterns, bamboo-themed furnishings, and warm lighting combine to create a casual atmosphere with a contemporary Japanese style that sets diners at ease.
Prompt and Friendly Service
The friendly and professional staff were quick to attend to our needs. And our orders only took less than ten minutes to arrive. Kudos to Sanpoutei Ramen for great service!
Niigata Shoyu Ramen
The Niigata Shoyu Ramen ($14) tasted great! The shoyu broth was gutsy but delicate, with a strong taste that was savoury but not overwhelming. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente and tasted oh-so-chewy. Our favourite element of the dish was the aburi chashu (seared pork). It had a distinctive smoky flavour that left a nice aftertaste in our mouths.
Tonkotsu Ramen
The Tonkotsu Ramen ($16) did not disappoint too. The luscious soup base was rich and creamy with a silky smooth texture which we loved. And like the Shoyu Ramen, it was served with wonderfully springy noodles and delicious aburi chashu as well.
We are glad we stumbled across Sanpoutei Ramen. With its gutsy Shoyu Ramen, luscious Tonkotsu Ramen, perfectly cooked springy noodles and tantalizing aburi chashu, this is definitely one of our favourite ramen joints in Singapore!
