Savis Food – Awesome Western Fusion Food at Phillip Street! (PERMANENTLY CLOSD)

Savis Food is now located at Marina Food House along Phillip Street, offering fusion Western food with elements of Asian cuisines. This is a popular lunch area for office workers in the surrounding CBD, and we were curious to see if Savis Food would stand out from the numerous eateries in the vicinity. Mix and Match your Pasta!

When I first saw the menu I was slightly confused about how to order but I quickly realized it was pretty easy. Basically, you just need to choose your type of pasta (Spaghetti or Penne), sauce (Tomato, Aglio Olio, Spicy Tom Yum, etc) and main course (Grilled Chicken, Prawns, Fish & Chips, and many others). I liked this concept as it allowed me to mix and match to come up with my preferred customized pasta.

Cajun Chicken Chop Set with Aglio Olio Spaghetti

I ordered the Cajun Chicken Chop Set with Aglio Olio Spaghetti ($7.90), along with the side dish Normal Fries ($3). The dish was served very promptly and it looked extremely tantalizing. The chicken was grilled to perfection and tasted succulent and tender. The spaghetti was cooked al dente and went nicely with the chicken. I enjoyed the fries too which tasted crisp and fresh. On the whole, this was a super satisfying plate of comfort food.

Calamari & Prawns with Spicy Tom Yum Spaghetti

Next up, I tried the fusion dish Calamari & Prawns with Spicy Tom Yum Spaghetti ($10.50). I scooped up some of the noodles into my mouth, eager to find out how the tom yum pasta would fare.

It tasted awesome!

Like the first dish, the spaghetti was cooked nicely with just the right amount of bite. However, the highlight was definitely the unmistakable aroma of Tom Yum. As I chewed on the pasta, the alluring fragrance of tom yum emanated from the spaghetti, leaving me wanting more. The calamari and prawns tasted decent, but my favourite was definitely the gutsy tom yum spaghetti!

1 for 1 Promotion

To celebrate their opening, Savis Food is now having a 1 for 1 promotion on all main dishes during breakfast (7am to 10.30am) and dinner (5pm to 7pm). We are not sure when this promotion will end, so take advantage of it while it lasts!

Our Verdict

Savis Food offers awesome Western fusion food which will appeal to most people. The two dishes that we ordered tasted great. The price is slightly high compared to the surrounding hawker stalls, but it is definitely worth paying the slight premium for the quality food. I work in the area and will definitely drop by again when I feel like indulging in comfort food.
