Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant New York – Best Blueberry Pancakes in the World

It was a cold Sunday morning in New York City and we were waiting outside Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant for our turn to enter the restaurant. Even though we had arrived shortly after the opening time, we still had to wait for about 30 minutes because the restaurant was already fully packed by the time we reached. However, we had heard that this restaurant serves fantastic blueberry pancakes and we were willing to wait in the cold for those famous pancakes! Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant

This well-known bistro has been around since 2001, and it is known for serving American Classics such as pancakes, eggs benedict, waffles, omelettes, etc. The ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible. The most famous dish here is the renown blueberry pancakes. Neil Kleinberg, co-owner of the Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant, is a talented restaurateur who has appeared on many US television shows such as Martha Stewart Living, The Today Show, Good Day New York, and more.

Homely Ambience with Friendly Staff

After waiting for 30 minutes, we finally got seats! We were ushered in by a friendly staff who led us to our seats. The small cozy space exudes a homely American vibe with its simple furnishings and vintage photographs lining the walls. The staff were very friendly and we had no issues with the service at all. We ordered the blueberry pancakes (duh) which came very quickly.

Blueberry Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter

And so this was it! After waiting for so long to get our seats, this was what we had been craving for, the famous Blueberry Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter ($15). With such high expectations, I was hoping the pancakes would not disappoint. I eagerly sliced a small piece doused with blueberry and put it into my gaping mouth.

It tasted A-W-E-S-O-M-E!

The pancakes were absolutely soft and fluffy, with a warm alluring fragrance enhanced by the delicate sweet flavour of powdered sugar. And of course, the blueberries tasted amazing as well, with a sweet alluring taste that romanced and seduced my taste buds. To put it simply, the velvety blueberries and fluffy pancakes were a match made in heaven. I could have eaten all the pancakes with just the blueberries, but I decided to pour on some warm maple syrup. The sweet luscious syrup went perfectly with the pancakes, creating a different but equally awesome gastronomical experience.

Conclusion

What can I say? These were the best pancakes I had ever eaten in my life. My only quip was that I had not known about these awesome blueberry pancakes earlier! With its homely vibe, great service, and amazing food, it is no wonder that Clinton Street Baking Company & Restaurant is one of the most popular bistros in New York City.
