Taylor B Fine Design – Our Favourite Furniture Shop in Singapore

I walked through the doors of Taylor B Fine Design, for probably the third time in a month. This was because the wife and I were searching for furniture for our new house, and she simply adored the beautiful home furnishings at this shop. This article was last updated on 19 June 2020. Taylor B Fine Design

Taylor B Fine Design is a local furniture company that has a huge showroom along Keppel Road. Update (19 June 2020): they have moved to 65 Mohamed Sultan Road. The huge multi-level space has an extensive array of furniture and accessories, ranging from oriental-style designs to American-style upscale brands such as: Caracole, Schnadig, Century Furniture and more. We really enjoyed browsing around the showroom because all the furniture are very unique and beautiful. This is in contrast to the typical furniture shop in Singapore that usually sells commonplace designs.

Great Service by Kumar!

Other than the beautiful furniture, the other reason why we enjoy visiting Taylor B is because of the great service. We were mainly served by Kumar, an extremely well-mannered staff who was very patient and not pushy in the least bit. He even gave us his phone number so that he could answer all our queries after we left the shop. This was before we even bought anything at all. And impressively, he always replied all our messages on Whatsapp.

Beautiful Furnishings in an Impressive Showroom

It was a very pleasant experience walking around the showroom because there were so many pieces of beautiful furnishings on display.

We especially liked the luxurious bed-frames – which was why we decided to get our bed frame from here!

Of course, there were lots of other gorgeous products such as the mirror cabinets, classy tables, velvet sofas, and more.

The showroom is really big with multiple levels so it did not feel cramped at all even though there are so many things on display.

Velvet Bed Frame (B-227 C-649 Warm Gray Velvet King)

After visiting many furniture shops, the wife finally found her desired bed frame design at Taylor B. It was love at first sight when she saw the velvet bed frame, which exudes a luxurious charm with its velvet upholstery and stately design. My heart sank when I saw the price tag ($2049). But hey, happy wife, happy life!

Even though the bed frame is super-king size and our Getha bed is a king-size bed, we still decided to buy it because we would be covering the border empty space with a super-king duvet.

Modern Mix Chesterfield Sofa (ZJK15105H-6E PLAIN)

It took quite a long time to buy our sofa because we couldn’t find a design that would blend with our living room. We wanted something that was luxurious but cozy, chic but not flamboyant. It took a bit of searching but we finally found the ideal design at Taylor B! The Modern Mix Chesterfield Sofa ($2649) has a timeless design reimagined with a modern touch. It is wrapped in smooth velvet, a swanky fabric that works perfectly in almost any space. The sleek gold frames add an element of luxe to the overall look. Once we saw the sofa, we knew it was perfect for our living room! The only downside of this sofa is that the fabric is not removable for washing, so we have to put in more effort on long-term maintenance.

Conclusion

We are so glad to have discovered Taylor B Fine Design. It was an enjoyable experience to walk around the beautiful showroom. Service by Kumar was great too. Most importantly, the furniture here is gorgeous and will appeal to anyone with a refined sense of aesthetics.

Update 13 January 2020

After using the velvet bed frame and chesterfield sofa for around two years, I’m happy to report that they are both still in very good condition. However, our Getha latex bed started sagging after a few months due to the slatted base of the bed frame. We solved this issue by placing a wooden plank on top of the base. Also, do note that Kumar is no longer working at Taylor B.
