Genting Highlands Indoor Theme Park To Reopen 08 Dec 2018 After 20 Months Renovation

Rejoice if you are visiting Resorts World Genting at the end of the year, because the indoor theme park SkyTropolis Funland will be open to the public for a preview starting 08 Dec 2018! As of 01 May 2019, 14 out of the 21 rides are currently available. I recommend getting this one-day pass which lets take unlimited rides. SkyTropolis Funland

The new SkyTropolis Funland in Genting Highlands will consist of indoor roller coasters, kids rides, themed shopping, and more! It will be located on the first floor of First World Plaza.

Previously known as the “First World Indoor Theme Park”, it has been closed for renovations since April 2017. The popular theme park will reopen on 08 Dec 2018 as “SkyTropolis Funland”.

Total of 21 Rides

There are a total of 21 rides, but 7 of them are not available yet (as of 01 May 2019). The pay-per-ride ticket costs RM10 on weekdays, and RM15 on weekends. You can also buy the preview pass which allows for unlimited rides! Below is a list of all the rides:

The VOID

Other than the indoor theme park, The VOID is another new attraction in Resorts World Genting. It is a virtual reality experience that allows visitors to roam around in a large virtual space. The VR experiences available are: Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire, Ghostbusters, and Wreck-it Ralph. Tickets cost RM130 each. If you buy The VOID ticket with the Skytropolis Funland Preview Pass, the combo costs just RM150 (savings of RM40).

20th Century Fox World Theme Park

There have been rumours that the 20th Century Fox World Theme Park will also be opening soon in the integrated resort (end 2018 or early 2019), so keep your fingers crossed for that too! Update 27 Nov 18: Walt Disney and Twenty-First Century Fox are currently being sued by Genting Malaysia for allegedly abandoning a contract related to its planned construction of the first Fox-branded theme park.
