Uncle Ringo Carnival + Pasar Malam at Boon Lay until 31 Dec – Fun Rides, Carnival Games, Delicious Food

Heads up Singapore Westies! There’s currently a Uncle Ringo Carnival and Pasar Malam at Boon Lay until 31 December. We were actually quite surprised to see this carnival in the quiet neighbourhood. This is a great place to bring your children to have some fun if you’re living in the area.

Boon Lay Trade Fair

Officially called the Boon Lay Trade Fair, this fair consists of a traditional Pasar Malam (rare to come by nowadays) and a Uncle Ringo Carnival with fun rides and carnival games.

The fair started on 16 December 2018 and will run until 31 December 2018. It is located at the walkway in front of Blk 207 in Boon Lay Place.

Below are some of the attractions we saw at this small fair.

Young children will definitely be really excited to sit on the carnival rides and play on the huge bouncing castle.

But if you are expecting exhilarating rides for adults, well you’ve come to the wrong place. All the rides we saw were for children (except for maybe the Bumper Car).

My advice is to buy some food from the Pasar Malam to eat while waiting for your children to finish their turns on the mini Pirate Ship or Ferris Wheel.

We saw quite a few stalls with fun carnival games. Time to put your fishing and shooting skills to good use!

Pasar Malam

Other than the Uncle Ringo Carnival, there is also a small traditional Pasar Malam here. We saw the usual Pasar Malam food, drinks, handphone accessories, bluetooth speakers, household products, etc.

Conclusion

This small Uncle Ringo Carnival and Pasar Malam in Boon Lay may not be as fancy as the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, but it is definitely a nice way to spend the night with your children enjoying the rides, games and food.

Based on our observations, the Uncle Ringo staff were quite responsible and kept a close look on the children while they were on the rides.

And your children will also get to experience an authentic Pasar Malam before this endangered old-school fair eventually disappears in Singapore.
