The Blooming Gallery (Bangkok) – Gorgeous Floral Themed Cafe Serving Art Inspired Food and Desserts
The Blooming Gallery was one of the most Instagrammable cafes we visited in Bangkok. As we entered the cafe, it felt like we had been whisked away from the rush of downtown Bangkok and transported to a fabulous secret garden.
The Blooming Gallery
The Blooming Gallery is a beautiful floral themed cafe in Bangkok that serves a variety of Western main dishes and artisan desserts.
It is located on the lower ground floor (LG) of Eight Thonglor, a small shopping mall in the trendy Thong Lor district.
The wife and I had some difficulty trying to find this hidden gem in the mall, because it is located at a quiet corner behind a set of spiral stairs.
The Blooming Gallery has recently opened a second branch at Lido Connect in Siam Square.
This Siam Square outlet also has a floral-themed design, and will feature new interesting desserts like Green Tea Mousse Cheesecake, Mango Mousse Cheesecake, etc.
Gorgeous Floral Themed Cafe
The wife was really eager to visit this rustic glasshouse cafe which boasts colourful flowers, potted plants, and lush hanging horticulture.
The cafe’s beautiful decor attracts tourists from all over Bangkok and have turned The Blooming Gallery into one of the most popular cafes among Instagrammers.
As expected, I had to fulfil my Instagram-husband duties and take plenty of pictures of the wife in this pretty cafe.
Other than being super Instagrammable, this tranquil cafe is also perfect for chilling out amidst an ambience of lush greenery.
Menu
The menu features a selection of Western mains, afternoon tea, cakes, and artisan desserts.
Popular dishes include “Morning by the Blooming Garden” (a sumptuous breakfast item), and “A Path in the Forest” (matcha mousse cheesecake).
Several of the menu items are named after Monet’s famous artworks, such as “The Wood Lane”, “Rose Bush” and “A Path in the Forest”. You can view the full menu here.
A Path in the Forest
We ordered the signature dessert A Path in the Forest (THB380), which is a Matcha Mousse Soft Cheesecake that is served in a cool marble cup and eaten with a wooden spoon.
It is made up of four layers: soft cheesecake, matcha mousse, crispy cereals, and fresh cream.
Before
After
We got our cameras ready because once it arrived, the staff started topping it off with matcha powder to create a unique and beautiful dessert.
The different layers turned into a pleasant mush in my mouth, romancing my taste buds with its delicate sweetness.
The crispy cereals provided a nice crunch to the mushy dessert. The wife and I really enjoyed eating this sweet treat.
Sweet Potato Chips
I saw some sweet potato chips on sale, with interesting flavours like Exotic Chilli, Cheesecake, and Himalayan sea salt.
Conclusion
The Blooming Gallery is a fantastic space with lovely attention to detail and interior design. The wife was especially happy because I took many pretty pictures of her in this super Instagrammable cafe.
