10 Best Places to Shop in Ginza, Tokyo
Ginza is a famous shopping district in Tokyo known for its luxury boutiques, high end department stores, and sleek shopping malls. This is THE place to go in Tokyo if you enjoy shopping. The most popular shopping street in Ginza is the vibrant Chuo-dori, which turns into an awesome pedestrianised shopping zone every weekend between 12pm and 5pm when it’s closed to road traffic.
1. Wako
Wako is a famous Japanese department store along Chuo-dori best known for its historic clock tower. This building has been an iconic image of the Ginza district since the 1920s.
Over here you will find apparels, jewellery, high end Seiko watches, Japanese souvenirs, and delicious food. Most of the products are Japanese, but there are also several European brands.

Ginza Six is a new shopping complex home to many famous luxury brands like Fendi, Celine, Dior, Gucci, YSL, Valentino, etc. There are also mass market brands like Adidas, The North Face, and Converse.
The wife and I spent a short while window-shopping in this modern and beautiful mall. This is a good place to visit if you are looking for foreign luxury brands.

Ginza Mitsukoshi is the quintessential Tokyo department store, offering twelve floors of luxury clothing and accessories, handbags, shoes, cosmetics, jewellery stores, toys, children apparel, international restaurants, and even kimono shops.
Some of the international brands here include Saint Laurent, Burberry, Max Mara, Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, and more.
The bronze lion by the main entrance is a well-known feature of the department store.
The wife and I had a lovely time chilling out at Ladurée Ginza on the second floor. This popular French pastry cafe has floor to ceiling windows that offer great views of the vibrant Ginza streets below.

UNIQLO Ginza is the brand’s largest branch in the world. This towering building with a full-glass facade is home to twelve storeys of Uniqlo products!
