Christmas Wonderland At Gardens By The Bay 2019 – 8 Fun Things To Do At This Wonderful Festival!

Christmas Wonderland at Gardens By The Bay is a Christmas festival held at the gardens from 29 November to 26 December 2019. The admission ticket costs $10 at the door but if you buy online you get a $2 discount. Visitors will be able to enjoy Christmas themed performances, fun activities, and beautiful Christmas decor. I visited this festival recently and this is my list of eight fun things to do here!

1. Carnival Games and Rides

The carnival section of the festival offers many fun games, reminding me of the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival last year. I also saw several rides, but they were all for young children. Don’t expect to find any exhilarating rides here!

2. Walk of Peace

Walk of Peace is a 50-metre long light installation inspired by “the glow of sunset at the Gardens”. It was quite an immersive experience to walk through this glittering structure.

3. Luminarie Light Sculptures

The Luminarie Light Sculptures are Italian light sculptures, including a 21-metre tall Spalliera (15th-century style wall panel) and Asia’s tallest luminarie Christmas tree.

These glittering structures were beautiful and it was surreal to see them nestled amidst the surrounding Supertrees.

4. Garden Rhapsody

Garden Rhapsody is a music and light show featuring the Supertrees and a medley of classic Christmas songs. Check out the schedule above.

This was one of our favourite attractions at Christmas Wonderland! It was a romantic experience to stand among the lighted Supertrees and watch the show with the wife.

5. Blizzard Time

Blizzard Time lets you experience “snowing” in Singapore against the gorgeous backdrop of the luminarie light sculptures, by using machines to shoot out foam. Check out the schedule above.

This was the highlight of our visit! It was a fun experience to stand inside the “blizzard” and see the foam floating all around us.

6. Festive Entertainment

There is a series of choral performances at the Cassa Armonica in the Supertree Grove, featuring groups like the NTU CAC Choir, Santa Bellas, Hwa Chong Choir, and more. Check out the schedule above.

We managed to catch the Santa Bellas during our visit, and enjoyed their beautiful acapella renditions of classic Christmas songs.

7. Christmas Parade

The Christmas Parade is a float parade featuring Santa Claus and his friends. It takes place on Fridays to Sundays at 8pm.

8. Food

We saw many food stalls at the fair, and there are outdoor dining tables available. I enjoyed drinking the Christmas Wonderland exclusive, Mistletoe Kiss White Beer, which is a special brew by Brewerkz with flavours of clove, vanilla and banana.
