W Acai – Hearty Acai Bowls At SingPost Centre & Funan Mall, Now With Islandwide Delivery
Another acai bowl specialist has arrived in Singapore! W Acai is a new acai bowl shop located on the second floor of SingPost Centre, beside Paya Lebar MRT Station. This is my review of their acai bowls. Update 28 August 2020: W Acai now has an outlet at Funan Mall too.
W Acai
W Acai opened in February this year (which was unfortunate timing since Circuit Breaker measures kicked in just two months later).
It is part of the “Wealshare” group, an F&B company that also runs W Coffee, TG Tea, and Easy Beef Noodle.
The founder, Go Chou, started Wealshare after being inspired by Luckin Coffee’s efficient and innovative business model in China.
Similar to Luckin, the company aims to bring a range of food and beverages to customers through attractive cost-saving deals.
Menu
The menu offers a selection of hearty acai bowls with interesting names like “Kung Fu Master”, “Supermodel” and “Iron Man”.
The prices are $6.80 (small), $9.80 (medium) and $14.80 (large). Compared to other acai bowls in Singapore, these prices are reasonable.
Islandwide Delivery
For this period, W Acai is offering islandwide delivery. Whatsapp +65 96161166 to order, and enjoy free delivery for orders $40 and above.
You can also order through their WealShare App to earn attractive cashbacks. The app includes food from W Coffee, TG Tea, and Easy Beef Noodle.
W Acai is on Foodpanda and GrabFood too.
Iron Man
The Iron Man ($6.80) bowl consists of fresh blueberries, kiwis, bananas, granolas, almonds and Meiji’s Paigen Culture Milk.
The acai was smoothly blended, and I liked that it was not too sweet.
The generous amounts of fresh toppings made this a very hearty and refreshing treat!
Kung Fu Master
The Kung Fu Master ($6.80) is similar to Iron Man but it replaces blueberries with sun-dried Deglet Noor dates.
These two bowls are very similar, but I prefer the Iron Man because I like eating blueberries.
W Signature White
W Acai also sells coffees from W Coffee, such as Espresso ($3.20), Americano ($5), Cappuccino ($5.60), Flat White ($5) and Mocha ($6.60).
I tried the iced W Signature White ($4.20), which is prepared by extracting coffee from an expresso machine and then mixing it with condensed milk.
This aromatic coffee was not too bitter, and served as a good perk-me-up while I was working in the afternoon.
Conclusion
W Acai offers delicious acai bowls and coffees at reasonable prices, and I hope that they will survive this different period. Note that they remain open for delivery and takeaway because they operate in a food court.
